Osborne Cogeneration Pty Ltd
Osborne Cogeneration is the largest and most modern cogeneration plant in Australia.
Built in 1998 it has supplied power to South Australia since their inception.
In 2005 they requested City Shelving to design and install a Raised Storage Area at Osborne.
The floor was to cover 12900mm x 6950mm utilising pallet racking as the support structure for the RSA.
22mm tongue and groove flooring was used for the actual floor and 80 x 40mm steel joists were the supports.
18mm particle board was placed on the beams under the floor so the racking structure supporting the floor could also be used to store product on.
A handrail was fabricated out of galvanised tube and a 1800mm wide gate was installed.
The floor had a rating of 10.8kPa (10kPa = 1020kg/m2)
The Raised Storage Area was completed in 3 days.
